Alex Gold is the Media & Events Assistant at the Annenberg Innovation Lab. Gold promotes Innovation Lab events, creates AIL's weekly eNews publication, updates the website, and manages social media content, analytics and engagement.
Gold has over three years of experience in music public relations, publicity, social media, and artist management, having utilized social media to promote a large roster of bands, including: Fishbone, Slightly Stoopid, Rebelution, The Expendables, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Greyboy Allstars, Alan Evan's Trio, and more.
As an executive assistant at Lion Child Media & Management, Gold managed social media strategy, and content creation for punk-rock record label, DC Jam Records; maintained and monitored Lion Child's online presence; created and managed multi-platform social media content for Rock N Roll Resort music festival; implemented social media & tour marketing campaigns for Alan Evan’s Trio; and coordinated management and publicity efforts on behalf of Steel Toed Slippers.
Gold interned at some of the top music publicity firms in LA, including the Mitch Schneider Organization. At MSOPR, Alex worked on the incredible accounts of high-profile artists and clients such as Slash (Guns & Roses), The Vans Warped Tour, Smashing Pumpkins, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Datsik, Ponderosa, The Offspring, and many more.
Currently, Gold is pursuing his Master's degree in Strategic Public Relations through the Annenberg School of Communication & Journalism. He graduated cum laude from California State University San Marcos from the Business Administration program, with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.
